I worked for a bit on my jazzy swing piece, fixing up the baseline. I’ve ran into a problem with that piece, there’s no soul, it’s empty. This really shows itself when I tried to map out a call with some woodwinds to be followed up by a response by some brass. The notes felt too rigid.
I took my mind off of it and made a funky little rhythm in the C major scale to better understand scales.
